Here at Once Upon a Book Club, we think there is something magical about opening a book for the first time. Perhaps it’s the anticipation of a new adventure or the joy of escaping into a different world and meeting new people. We can’t help but be filled with curiosity as we try and get a few hints from the cover while we grab that cup of coffee and snuggle up on the couch with our latest read!


Research shows that the number of adults in the US who read books has declined by 7% over the past decade. Competing with technology is always a challenge, and we are so glad that we now have an annual Buy a Book Day, which we can’t wait to celebrate on the 7th of September! We don’t think that anything compares to a great book coupled with our active imaginations.
